As a child I remember a suspicous death in the family, how would I go about researching it now that I'm older?

Is there any other records I should ask for other than investigation records, medical, cororner report, autopsy, cause of death?

If the death was never ruled anything other than natural, there will be no autopsy records as no autopsy would have been required. You will have to contact the Bureau of Vital Statistics in the state where the death occurred to purchase a copy of the death certificate.
