I have a 2006 VW jetta with roughly 170,000 miles. The check engine light is on, the ac keeps blowing hot air when I set it to cold, and when I refill and put new gas in the car it has trouble starting.
I took it to a mechanic who told me that there was no leak with the freon. He said I need to replace the intake manifold which costs about $400 for an OEM and $1200 for all together for labor.
I'm thinking the ac needs to be recharged, but I am not sure about the car having a hard time starting when I put new gas in. What is going on?
